DELHI — Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a Water ATM at Ekta Camp in Pitampura, aimed at improving access to safe and affordable drinking water for local residents.
The facility has been set up under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Indian Oil Corporation. The project is designed to ensure that people, especially those living in densely populated and underserved areas, can easily access clean drinking water at a low cost.
Officials said that the Water ATM will help address daily water needs by providing filtered and safe drinking water, reducing dependence on unsafe sources. Such initiatives are particularly important in areas where access to clean water is limited.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of basic facilities like clean drinking water for public health and well-being. She said that projects like these reflect the government’s focus on improving essential services for all sections of society.
The initiative also shows how public sector companies can support community welfare through CSR programmes, working alongside the government to improve living conditions.
Residents of the area welcomed the move, saying that it will make a significant difference in their daily lives by providing reliable access to clean water.
The Water ATM at Ekta Camp is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen basic infrastructure and ensure better quality of life for citizens in Delhi.
