Date:

DELHI — Ranjeet Mehta, CEO and Secretary General of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), highlighted growing opportunities for bilateral trade as a delegation from Trinidad and Tobago visited India for business discussions.

Speaking in Delhi, Mehta said that the chamber was pleased to host the delegation, noting that this is the first visit by representatives from Trinidad and Tobago despite the geographical distance between the two regions.

He stated that a Business-to-Business (B2B) session is being organised to facilitate direct interaction between Indian companies and the visiting delegation, aimed at exploring potential partnerships and collaborations.

Mehta подчеркнул that there are significant opportunities for Indian businesses in the pharmaceutical sector, suggesting that India’s strong manufacturing capabilities could be leveraged in international markets like Trinidad and Tobago.

At the same time, he pointed out that Trinidad and Tobago has strengths in sectors such as oil and fertilisers, indicating that collaboration could be mutually beneficial by combining complementary resources and expertise.

He expressed optimism that such engagements could pave the way for stronger trade relations and long-term partnerships, benefiting businesses on both sides.

The visit reflects a broader effort to expand India’s global trade network and strengthen ties with countries in different regions, particularly through industry-led initiatives.

Ranjeet Mehta’s statement highlights the potential for enhanced economic cooperation between India and Trinidad and Tobago, focusing on sectors like pharmaceuticals, energy, and fertilisers through structured business interactions.
