Speaking in Delhi, Annapurna Devi said that the government, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, has consistently focused on women’s empowerment and has taken multiple initiatives to uplift women across sectors. She emphasized that the Women’s Reservation Bill is part of this broader vision.

The bill seeks to reserve 33 percent of seats for women in Parliament and State Assemblies, which is expected to bring a major shift in political representation.

Annapurna Devi also appealed to all political parties to come together and support the bill, stressing that it is an important reform that goes beyond political differences and focuses on empowering women across the country.
