UDIT RAJ ACCUSES CENTRAL AGENCIES OF TARGETING OPPOSITION, QUESTIONS GOVERNMENT ON INFILTRATION ISSUE

Delhi ,India :

A fresh political controversy has emerged in the national capital as Congress leader Udit Raj launched a strong attack on the central government, raising serious allegations regarding the use of investigative agencies and the handling of infiltration issues.

Speaking in Delhi, Udit Raj alleged that multiple central agencies, including the Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation, Income Tax Department, and the Central Vigilance Commission, are being systematically deployed against opposition leaders. He claimed that these institutions, which are meant to ensure accountability, are instead being used as tools to exert pressure and influence political outcomes.

Referring to past incidents, he pointed out that during elections, raids were conducted at the residence of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, suggesting that such actions create an atmosphere of fear among political opponents. He further alleged that similar situations are unfolding in states like West Bengal, where people are being intimidated.

“People are being terrorized, threatened, and scared,” Udit Raj stated, drawing a comparison between these actions and tactics that create widespread fear. He added that although clarifications were later issued, the initial impact of such statements and actions continues to influence public perception.

Shifting focus to the issue of infiltration, the Congress leader raised pointed questions about the central government’s approach. He referenced the tenure of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, claiming that during that period, more individuals were identified and sent out of the country multiple times compared to the present situation.

Udit Raj further alleged that the current government has deliberately allowed the infiltration issue to persist for political advantage. He questioned whether the matter is being kept alive to serve as an electoral narrative, rather than being decisively addressed. Raising a direct challenge, he asked what steps have been taken over the past twelve years to resolve the issue.

“What has the central government been doing for the past 12 years?” he asked, urging accountability and transparency. He went on to question whether the government has effectively acted as a “protector” of infiltrators by failing to take adequate action.

The remarks have intensified the political debate, bringing issues of governance, institutional independence, and national security into sharp focus. As both sides continue to exchange allegations, the discourse is expected to shape political narratives in the run-up to upcoming elections.

Udit Raj’s statements have added to the growing war of words between the ruling establishment and the opposition, highlighting deep divisions over the functioning of agencies and the handling of critical national issues like infiltration.
