Manickam Tagore Alleges Government Interrupts Rahul Gandhi, Questions Objection to His Speech…

Delhi, India

Congress MP Manickam Tagore has criticised the government over its response to a recent speech by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, alleging repeated interruptions and attempts to suppress his voice in Parliament.

Speaking in Delhi, Manickam Tagore said it was surprising that whenever Rahul Gandhi speaks in the House, the government allegedly interrupts and now even seeks to remove portions of his speech from the record.

He claimed that there is a pattern where Rahul Gandhi is not allowed to speak freely in Parliament.

Referring to the specific speech, Tagore said that Rahul Gandhi had narrated a story about a magician, which he described as a general anecdote. However, he questioned why the government linked the story to Narendra Modi.

He asked why the government was connecting the story to the Prime Minister when, according to him, no direct reference was made.

Tagore further alleged that such reactions indicate discomfort within the government whenever Rahul Gandhi raises issues or presents criticism in Parliament.

He stated that the government “does not want Rahul Gandhi to speak,” suggesting an attempt to limit opposition voices.

The remarks come amid ongoing political tensions between the ruling party and the opposition, particularly over debates and discussions in Parliament. Issues related to freedom of speech, parliamentary decorum, and political messaging continue to be points of contention.

It is important to note that these are political allegations made by an opposition leader, and there has been no official response from the government regarding these specific claims in this context.

The exchange reflects the broader political divide, with both sides often accusing each other over the functioning of Parliament and the space given to opposition voices.

As parliamentary proceedings continue, such disagreements are expected to remain part of the larger political discourse in the country.
