Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs Promotes Wellness Through Yoga Workshop Ahead of International Yoga Day 2026

New Delhi: To mark International Yoga Day 2026, a yoga workshop was organized by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs on June 18, 2026, at 11:30 AM in the Main Committee Room of the Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi.

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs hosted a workshop focused on preparations for International Yoga Day 2026. during which Dr. Ramesh Kumar from Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University conducted a yoga session. Senior Ministry official Dr. Satya Prakash inaugurated the event and introduced the professor. The government outlined its upcoming national activities for this internationally observed day.

Dr. Ramesh Kumar held a session on yoga and ‘pranayama’ for the ministry team and explained how taking short yoga breaks during work hours helps them stay relaxed and productive.

Dr. Satya Prakash, Shri Mukesh Kumar, Shri S.S. Patra,long with other officers and staff of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, took part in the yoga workshop. (PIB)
